Heart & Soul: Las Flores Women's Ministry
Our ministry goals are to:
- Cultivate Godly Christian women
- Promote healthy, Christian marriages and families
- Develop an understanding on the Biblical perspective on womanhood
- Disciple and equip women to fulfill their ministry
- Help women appreciate the many areas of service open to them in the church

Prayer, Women's Studies, Mentoring & Discipleship
Our Heart Partners Prayer Ministry enables
women with similar needs/interests to pray
with and for one another. We currently have
prayer groups for stay-at-home moms and
women who want to heal or strengthen
relationships.
In addition to the weekly women’s home
groups available through the Las Flores
Small Group Ministry, the Women’s Ministry
provides ongoing opportunities for women
to participate in Bible studies. Both indepth
and topical Bible studies focused on
women’s issues are offered.
Apples of Gold is a six-week nurturing
program where women grow together in their
love of God, family and others. In these
sessions, we encourage each other to be the
women God has called us to be through the
Titus 2 example of older women teaching
younger women.
The Women’s Ministry urges all women to
participate—either as discipler or disciple—in
One-to-One Discipleship, a nine-session
course where one believer helps another
build strong spiritual disciplines.
An ongoing mentoring class for teenage
girls is also offered that includes bible study,
teaching practical skills, building strong
relationships and service to others.
Fellowship
Annual events provide many opportunities for fun and fellowship throughout the year, including the Ladies Christmas Tea, the Spring Luncheon, the Valentines’ Dinner (for couples), the PLNU Women’s Auxiliary Luncheon, local and district retreats and conferences, scrapbooking and craft-making sessions, and more!
Inreach/Outreach
Our Manna Ministry organizes meals for those within our church who are in need (such as families with new babies or people recuperating from surgery). In support of our first-time moms, our Showers Ministry hosts a baby shower for every Las Flores family expecting their first child.
