Missionary Support

Our very own Baylee Mitchell heard God’s call at the age of 8 and now, at 19 years old, she is serving full-time in Thailand.

“I am 19 years old. I feel called to Mae Sai, which is the most northern part of Thailand that borders Burma, modern-day Myanmar. I am partnering with a ministry called Victory International and will be teaching English at their new English center and helping to pioneer the children’s program for their church. I will also be helping in their vision as they pioneer a church for the Burmese. I will be there for the next 5 years possibly more. My goal is to raise $1000 monthly but any one-time donations are welcomed. My other major needs would be a prayer for wisdom as I prepare and for perseverance as I learn to speak Thai fluently.”

Update from Baylee: April 2026

สวัสดีค่ะ (hello) amazing friends and family. You know what time it is: Baylee‘s monthly update!

As always, I want to begin by expressing my appreciation and gratitude. Thank you so much! I am continually blessed by all the prayers, generosity, encouragement, and love you all pour into my life. I can’t put into words how the support reaches me from the other side of the world, and I feel so blessed, cared for, and loved.

This month has honestly been a very interesting one, filled with a lot of transition and change. Things have not looked the way I expected, and what I originally thought this season at Victory would be has shifted in ways I didn’t see coming. In the middle of all of that, I’ve been reminded again and again that God’s plans are not only different—but better. Even in the unknown, I’ve seen His faithfulness show up in unexpected and steady ways. It’s been a season of learning to trust Him more deeply, especially when I don’t have all the answers.

I was able to help at the youth conference Victory hosts every year. I was blown away by how all the youth were eager to pursue a relationship with God. It was so cool to be apart of witness some of the kids giving your life to Jesus for the first time and getting the opportunity to pray over the youth as they continue to pursue God and be a light wherever they are. It was also nice to visit with some of the leaders from Hua Hin, Siracha and other provinces in Thailand. I really feel like it was a perfect way to close my season with victory as I transitioned into the next season, which is most likely Chiang Mai.

This last month at happy home I got to make goodie bags for the children and pass them out. I went to both children’s homes in Chiang Rai and Chang Sean. In total, I made 50 goodie bags and then handed them out.

As you know, I’ve been in the process of applying to join Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Chiang Mai as staff. I did get an update on this and on April 28. I will have a meeting with the leaders as part of the application process. Please continue to pray for wisdom and discernment with the leaders, and on my end as well, and that God will open the doors that need to be opened. This week have the opportunity to look at some houses in Chiang Mai. Praying for peace and clarity if this is what God intense for me and my dogs and if not for doors to open with my dogs to be able to go to the dog place and have a long-term foster while I live at the base for the next two years.

I’m officially done as of last week or the week before with my eight week class. My dance history class is interesting. I’ve also been continuing my Thai studies. I have been getting braver and using my Thai in public and I am now able to understand and communicate with shop owners, ordering food and things like that, as well as, having minor conversations with my friends. My teacher has officially left me I think or has been MIA for the past month so I’ve been continuing my studies on my own. Due to the fact that I have an old car and it needs a lot of maintenance, I have learned how to say a lot more things in Thai about cars and learned a lot more about cars than I ever wanted to learn.

Ember and Remmy have been and are living their best lives. They continue to bring a positive chaos and I absolutely adore them. I am currently praying about and processing the best course of action that is best for them during this time of transition.

Prayer Requests

• Pray for discernment and wisdom as the YWAM leaders pray and process my application and for the interview

•Pray for wisdom and peace and that God will bring clarity when I find a new house to rent.

• Pray for peace, courage, and trust as I walk through so much transition and step into the unknown.

• Pray for clarity and provision regarding housing in Chiang Mai if this next step moves forward.

• Pray for wisdom and provision for my dogs and how everything will work out for them in this transition.

• Pray for the bathroom project—that the financials will be provided for and that everything would go smoothly, efficiently, and within budget.

• Pray for the English center at Victory as they walk through a major transition.

• Pray for the families at my church and for the ongoing conflict in Myanmar.

• Pray that I would continue to find joy in this season and grow deeper in my relationship with Christ through it all.

Again, I just wanna say thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with me and coming alongside me as I continue to have the opportunity to serve God in Thailand. I am so grateful and so thankful for each and everyone of you. Until next time,God bless you!

With so much love appreciation and gratitude,

Baylee
