Missionary Support
Our very own Baylee Mitchell heard God’s call at the age of 8 and now, at 19 years old, she is serving full-time in Thailand.
“I am 19 years old. I feel called to Mae Sai, which is the most northern part of Thailand that borders Burma, modern-day Myanmar. I am partnering with a ministry called Victory International and will be teaching English at their new English center and helping to pioneer the children’s program for their church. I will also be helping in their vision as they pioneer a church for the Burmese. I will be there for the next 5 years possibly more. My goal is to raise $1000 monthly but any one-time donations are welcomed. My other major needs would be a prayer for wisdom as I prepare and for perseverance as I learn to speak Thai fluently.”

Update from Baylee: June 2026
This past month has been one filled with both deep sorrow and incredible evidence of God’s faithfulness. It has been a season of transition, change, and trusting the Lord in ways I never expected, yet through it all, He has continued to prove Himself faithful.
Shout out to my sister Rian for graduating high school on May 29th! I am so proud of her and so honored to have been able to watch her graduate and celebrate with her, and bonus get to support her as she goes into her next exciting adventure in Utah for college.
One exciting update is that I officially received my acceptance into YWAM Chiang Mai! I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited to see what God has in store during this next season of ministry. As I prepare to step into this new chapter, I am seeking the Lord’s wisdom and direction and trusting Him to make His plans clear one step at a time.
I am also currently in the process of obtaining my visa. This journey has been not easy to say the least While it has been filled with questions, and waiting, I am thankful for the support and guidance I have received throughout the process. I would appreciate your continued prayers that everything would come together smoothly and according to God’s timing.
With a heavy heart, I want to share that on May 11th, my sweet Remmy was tragically hit by a motorcycle and sadly passed away. As if that day wasn’t difficult enough, it was also the day I had to take Ember to her new home and say goodbye. To say that these two dogs were my world would be an understatement. They brought me so much joy, companionship, laughter, and comfort throughout my time here in Thailand. Losing Remmy and rehoming Ember on the same day was one of the hardest experiences I have walked through.Yet even in the midst of heartbreak, I have seen God’s kindness. He truly provided the best possible outcome in a difficult situation. Ember has been placed in a loving home where she is absolutely adored and spoiled rotten. Her new dad regularly sends me photos and videos, and by God’s grace, he lives only about 30 minutes from my new home, meaning I can still visit her.Even more than that, I am praying that through our connection, Ember’s new owner will encounter Jesus in a meaningful way. It has been amazing to see how God can use even painful transitions for His purposes. As for Remmy, while I miss him deeply every single day, God has given me peace and comfort knowing he is safe with Jesus. I will forever cherish the memories, adventures, and unconditional love that Ember and Remmy gave me. While I still grieve their absence, I know that God has them in His hands, just as He has me in His hands. I trust that He is doing something bigger than I can currently see, and I am choosing to follow Him one step at a time.
On the ministry side of things, God continues to open doors and provide opportunities to serve. I am looking forward to becoming more involved with the YWAM Chiang Mai community and building relationships with those the Lord has placed around me. One thing I am especially excited about is finding community, growing alongside other believers, and forming friendships that I pray will last a lifetime.
School is most likely going to put on hold for the fall semester as I navigate what life is going to like in Chiang Mai but I am just trusting God’s timing and literally putting one foot in front of the other. Baby teps.
As I reflect on this season, I am reminded that God’s faithfulness is not dependent on circumstances. Whether walking through seasons of joy or seasons of loss, He remains good, constant, and worthy of our trust. While there have been moments of sadness and uncertainty, there has also been an overwhelming sense of peace knowing that God is leading every step.
As always, thank you for continuing to pray, encourage, and partner with me. Your support means more than you know, and I am incredibly thankful for each of you. God bless each and every one of you!
