Missionary Support

Our very own Baylee Mitchell heard God’s call at the age of 8 and now, at 19 years old, she is serving full-time in Thailand.

“I am 19 years old. I feel called to Mae Sai, which is the most northern part of Thailand that borders Burma, modern-day Myanmar. I am partnering with a ministry called Victory International and will be teaching English at their new English center and helping to pioneer the children’s program for their church. I will also be helping in their vision as they pioneer a church for the Burmese. I will be there for the next 5 years possibly more. My goal is to raise $1000 monthly but any one-time donations are welcomed. My other major needs would be a prayer for wisdom as I prepare and for perseverance as I learn to speak Thai fluently.”

Update from Baylee

สวัสดีค่ะ,

Welcome to another update coming all the way from Thailand, land of smiles.
As always, words truly cannot express how I appreciate m every single one of you. Thank you for continuing to shower me with such abundant generosity, love, encouragement, and support. I feel it constantly, and I never take it for granted.
One huge praise report is that my visa has officially come through! I am so grateful for how God worked in that process. I have started taking online Thai classes as well as a college history course, and I am really enjoying both. It has been such a gift to be able to keep learning and growing during this season.
I have also been settling into my new house, and it has been amazing. It truly feels like a place of rest and a fresh start. I recently had the opportunity to visit Mercy Ministries, an organization with several children’s homes across Thailand and one in Cambodia. I have been praying about possibly volunteering with their ministry this upcoming season, and it was really special to see their heart and the work they are doing firsthand.
The language center I was previously serving at is currently transitioning into becoming an actual school, so they are no longer holding classes for now. Because of this, I will be stepping away from the center and focusing more on the church side of ministry. I am also volunteering with another ministry where I will be teaching English two days a week. I am excited for everything that God is doing and to see what He will continue to do here in Thailand.
As for the doggos, they are doing really well. After not seeing them for a whole month, we finally had a reunion and it was the cutest thing ever. They were so excited, and it filled my heart so much to be with them again. They are healthy, loved, and definitely still spoiled.

Prayer Requests

• Pray for discernment in all areas as I walk through this new season.
• Blessings over my current church, the language center as it transitions, and the people I continue to serve and learn from.
• Prayer for peace and smooth transitions with ministry and daily life.
• Ember has been having some stomach issues. She is still eating, drinking, and acting normally, so we are not sure what is going on. Please pray for healing and wisdom for how to care for her.

Thank you again for walking with me through every season, every transition, and every unknown. Your prayers, encouragement, and love mean more than I could ever fully express.
With sincerity and lots of love and God’s blessings,

Baylee
